| Internship Fair
Gives Seniors Another Option by Jennifer Byrd With less than 125 days until graduation, seniors are getting a reality check. The annual internship fair sponsored by University Career Services is a chance for students to hand out resumes and talk with more than 30 employers. Many company representatives say they have noticed a decrease in the number of job opportunities and attribute this decline to the shaky economy. Worried seniors are looking into internships and graduate school as a back-up plan. Fair coordinators suggest that students be proactive in their job searches and take advantage of networking opportunities like this. Assistant Director of University Career Services Shawn Graham said, "I think what's happening right now in the way the economy is, you just have to be more creative." Graham also said, "students may have to rely more on networking, going to different career fairs and using different resources." |
