Dacco and qdacco in Debian; Release of qdacco 0.4

A couple of items of news...

Firstly, for a few weeks now Dacco and qdacco have been available within Debian (one of the most important GNU/Linux distributions). This means that Dacco and qdacco are easily accessible for people running this distribution. The package maintainer for both is Miguel Gea.

We would also like to announce that version 0.4 of qdacco (the application which allows us to use Dacco offline) has just been released.
Some of the most important new features of qdacco 0.4 are:

  • Ability for qdacco users to send comments and new entries to the Dacco dictionary project.
  • Ability to search for 'nearest matches' (i.e. you can search for a particular word - for example - mad - and choose to also display close matches such as 'madness' and 'madly')
  • Improved GUI and usability (thank you Jordi!)

Debian users can find the new version of qdacco in the Debian packages. Users of other Linux distributions and Windows users can find a download link, installation guide and additional information, including screenshots, here.
