from piporg-l:

Sources at Microsoft have confirmed that the corporate giant has
acquired the Macy’s Department Store chain. Bill Gates, Microsoft’s
founder and CEO, has expressed particular interest in the company’s
large Philadelphia store, home to the largest playing pipe organ in the
world. When asked about the organ, Gates reportedly said, “I love organ
music, but that thing wastes an enormous amount of valuable space. I
believe it can be replaced by a Windows-operated modern music system,
and the space now occupied by what amounts to a warehouse of old
plumbing can be used to house a server farm. Customers won’t know the difference.”

the 3rd pipe organ-related april fool’s joke i’ve seen in 12 hours.
