One quick book to read is:

Intentional Communities: How to Start Them and Why
           J. Donald Walters
CrystalClarity Publishers - Nevada City, CA

I would also recommend getting a subscription to:

Communities - Journal of Cooperative Living
          Fellowship for Intentional Community
          Rt. 1
          Box 155
          Rutledge, MO 63563

I'm sure there are many in Massachusetts. I would love to hear how your's
comes along. I also live in Mass and am in the process of forming one in
South Carolina with several other people.
