Last year my mother introduced me to a book called "Raw Energy" by Leslie
and Susannah Kenton. It says exactly the same thing about "sludge" and
says it is caused by eating junk and too much cooked food. I followed its
advice for 6 months (due to hassles I slid back into my old ways) and I have
NEVER felt better than during that time! (I ate approximately 75% raw veg
and fruit per day and fonud I had boundless energy and no health problems.)
The book advised that one should eat only fruit (a "fruitfast") for one day
of each week so as to clear the toxins out of the body. Try reading the book,
it's well-written and pretty scientific!
