Muth" Subject: Info and anything else I can get my hands on needed. If anyone has info on any other existing music bulletin boards out there, I'd really appreciate it. I have an Ensoniq ESQ-1, and I'm looking for sounds, tips on programming, etc. If anyone can help me out there, I'd be a happy camper. Thanks. Kopp" Subject: mirage schematic Yes, I know its a bad word to all of you with a fistful of dollars, BUT, I need to get in contact with any/all of you out there who has been inside the mirage and who may have a schematic. I dont usually buy any electronic gear without a schematic and upon purchase was promised a schematic. However, as sales pitches go "it just didn't happen". Anyway, I have already beefed up the memory to 512K so that I can load more than one diskette at a time. This has caused a hum problem which is bugging me, and want to change the sampling chip (in addition to the original custom chip) and a few other changes. I have read about and talked to the "transonic hacker mag" and have heard there is a schematic "around". This technology is so old that I dont understand the reluctance or secrecy of Ensonic in sending me one. For as muc as I paid for it I should have come with a maintenance manual. Any help out there?? /////THIS HAS BEEN KICKING AROUND LONG ENOUGH///// /////SO THIS YEAR I'M GOING TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!///// FAMOUS (LAST?) Subject: Ensoniq Mirage Does anyone have any comments or criticisms regarding the Ensoniq Mirage? Am thinking of buying one, and shopping around I've only heard the good... I can see being out of it for a few years can really leave one out of the loop. However, I did see a mention of the Ensoniq Mirage, and I have one, so I will momentarily break my silence. Unfortunately, my Mirage is the original model, circa 1986. Non-weighted keyboard, muddy sound. It has served me reasonably well for my limited uses, but I wish I had access to more sounds. What sources are there for Mirage samples? I have about six or seven of the factory disks and wish I had more variety. Also, does anybody know if Ensoniq still offers a retrofit for the older Mirages to boost the frequency range of the thing? ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 8 Feb 90 20:56:00 EST From: FNELSON@OBERLIN.BITNET Subject: RE: Info and anything else I can get my hands on needed.
