I'm looking for a new soundboard. I already have catalogs from American Musical Supply and Venemans Music Emporium. Please reply directly to me. Thanks! This is for order and catalog info only. If you want to speak with a tech person they make you call the non-toll free number (which they give out on the 800 numbers prerecorded message). From what I hear out here on the East Coast, prices for equipment are supposed to be cheaper on the West Coast can someone verify this?. Also can someone privately mail me the addresses of some good places to mail order from. Thanks in advance... The best I have found are the NYC music stores advertised in Electronic Musician and Musicians Friend which is ok for cables and mounting gear but weak on instruments. I believe they have an 800 number, 800-221-KEYS. They're based in either Scottsdale or Phoenix (sorry, early Monday morning memory crash). ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 4 May 1992 16:50:21 EDT From: Keith Subject: Re: Vendors Hey Neil, No problem with forwarding any info I get to you. And incidentally, I'm from New York, but I go to school in Philadelphia- BTW, music stores down here tend to be "lacking"; e.g. 2 E-mu dealers. Anyway, you are right about New York. I have a subscription to Electronic Musician are it seem that the only places in there that deal with the heavier equipment (such as keyboards), are in New York. Sometimes you can talk these guys down, but usually not. Just some thoughts Keith- ------------------------------ End of the EMUSIC-L Digest ******************************
