Greetings! I'm new to the bboard, so I'm sorry to jump into the middle from the blue. Recently, I discovered the Kodak Co's Center for Creative Imaging in Maine. They offer what looks like good two-part session in e-music. The six day session is in two parts MIDI & Music Synthesis and Desktop Music Production. My boss is willing to pay my way, but I want to know whether or not their program is any good. Do any of you know about the Kodak Center? David Mash from Berklee in Boston is teaching. I haven't heard of him. Does anyone know him or his work? One last question: are there any other electronic music training seminars in the US that would be worthwhile? I'd appreciate your comments! Dave Mash knows his stuff, AND can teach, too. On the basis of the instructor, I'd say - DO IT! I took a synthesis class from Dave @ Berklee back in '81, many moons ago, DX7's were still hot, and Dave was pushing the limits of the machine before anyone else. Recommended. It is a very nice place with all of the latest in Apple computers, laid out so that each person gets their own workstation, and the teachers screen is projected at the front of the class so that everyone can follow. The synths were M1's. I don't have a lot of time now to give a complete description, but if you have any specific questions feel free to email me.
