I've got a TG55 and I'm having the same problems. I also have the Yamaha V50 but it isn't the same as the TG55. Thanks - Chris ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 30 Oct 1992 15:21:45 -0500 From: Dana Nibby Subject: patches Does anyone have patch cartridges for the ESQ-1 they want to sell? I just bought an ESQ-1, and want some techno/industrial dance patches, also other agressive analog-type patches, plus new age/choir/angelic/ space/spectral type patches. Do any of you have the patch called 'Chainsaw' for the ESQ-1? Could you e-mail the parameters for it to me? I heard it in a music store and loved it. The internal patches that came with my ESQ-1 stink. Where can I buy ESQ-1 patch cartidges *cheaply?* Cesium Sound is the only company I've been able to find that even sells them. If 'Chainsaw' is a commercially-available patch, you have to pay for it to obtain it legally. > Where can I buy ESQ-1 patch cartidges *cheaply?* Cesium Sound is the >only company I've been able to find that even sells them. If all else fails, you could [gasp!] program your own patches. The ESQ-1 is not a particularly difficult machine to program, if memory serves. Heck, in all the time you've spent trying to find patches for free or cheap, you could have probably created half a dozen of your own. --Adam schabtac@stout.atd.ucar.edu "Which is more musical, a truck passing by a factory or a truck passing by a music school?" --Cage ------------------------------ Date: Sat, 31 Oct 1992 12:45:20 -0500 From: Dana Nibby Subject: Re: patches Program my own patches? Considering I've been told it takes approx. 7-10 minutes to program a patch (probably longer, considering I'm new at it), I'd prefer popping in a cartridge w/80 patches pre-programmed, and then possibly altering them if I need to. Considering I'm not using a computer with the ESQ-1, or some form of data disk unit, programming my own doesn't seem like the way to go. Of course, I could use a cassette player to load/save my own patches but no, I prefer popping in a cartridge w/80 patches set to go. Free meaning you don't have to pay patch by patch, but there is a per-minute connection charge and a small monthly fee. This might be a good option for you. ------------------------------ End of the EMUSIC-L Digest ******************************
