The FTP site for Csound is: > Host mcsun.eu.net (192.16.202.1) > > /comp/mac/sound/csound Hope that helps... -AFC ---- claassen@ebs330.eb.uah.edu ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 2 Mar 1993 15:32:25 GMT From: Andy Farnell Subject: Re: CSOUND HELP HELP...?!? Does anybody have a copy of CSOUND that they can give me? The FTP access from our site is not working and so I cannot get hold of a replacement source for CSOUND. I urgently need a copy to replace the remains of the one left after an unfortunate but predictable 'disk crashed - backup tape missing' scenario. I will be very grateful to anyone who could spare the time to tar, compress and uuencode the sources (as per current PD release) and mail then to me. If you could get in touch via private email I will give you the details. If anyone in the UK wants to send me a tape I will return it but let me know beforehand. I got a copy for the Mac right here... -AFC --- claassen@ebs330.eb.uah.edu ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 3 Mar 1993 13:49:05 GMT From: Andy Farnell Subject: Re: CSOUND HELP > > For what platform? I got a copy for the Mac right here... > > -AFC > --- > claassen@ebs330.eb.uah.edu > Sounds great - but Ive never run it on a mac before (or even entertained the idea that it would be possible to do so). The platform of the recently deceased copy was SUN sparc-ipx under sys5 UNIX and I am ultimately looking to replace that version. However a copy for the mac would help greatly to keep things moving while we rebuild the Sun. I am a little confused because I was under the impression that CSOUND was available largely in source form (indeed I believe that is how we originally got it) and not platform specific. Anyway, we have an LC2 and a Quadra 950 with all the mac operating systems available too. My personal email address is: afarnell@uk.ac.bournemouth at least that's how it looks from our end. Since I am quite new to CSOUND (I am taking over from the previous guy) I am all ears regarding advice and tips on how to get it up and running and get the best out of it. Many thanks for your relpy and anything you decide to mail me Andy James Farnell Computing & Cognition Bournemouth University England ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 5 Mar 1993 15:11:37 +0100 From: Hmeljak Dimitrij Subject: Re: CSOUND HELP >I was under the impression that CSOUND was available largely in source form could you give more info? But, since it seems interesting, could you both continue mailing on the list ? You will notice that some of them are unix and some are mac. I am not sure if there is any difference. All of these sites support anonymous ftp.
