Has anyone around here played with any of these mixers? Although i'd rather have a Mackie 1604, financial limitations are probably going to stick me with a DOD 1222RM. Any knowledge about it's noisiness? I played with one at a store and it had all i needed and i liked the layout, i just don't know about the sound. The best price i've found is $479. Mackie doesn't make any mixers comparable to 1604 with only 12 channels? -- -------------------------------------------------------------------------- |Arne F. Mackie makes a 1202 which is, by any reasonable standard, the best mixer value available. Basically, it is sonically equivalent to a 1604 (same quality parts, connectors, switches, knobs, etc), but has only 4 mono (with phantom powered canons) and 4 stereo pairs of line inputs. The things are incredibly quiet (as quiet as a 1604), and very useful. Also, they are reusable as 12 channel submixers if you upgrade to a higher-class board. Generally they can be had for a little over $300 ($325?). John ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 5 Oct 1993 08:44:05 BST From: "Steven D.
