It is a registered copy with manuals and OMS software etc. So thanks again. The problem is that there is a big time delay between the appearance of a new synth and the availability of the editing software. You might try Unysin from MOTU for a faster (and more complete) response to kit. That being said, if the available Opcode software is a match with the synths you have, and the price is right (although, if it isn't a registered copy, you won't get any upgrades, which defeats the purpose of keeing up with the new kit you might buy) Galaxy + is quite good, especially the bits called *shuffler* & *Shade Two* Stephen Deutsch> -- Prof Stephen Deutsch # # BOURNEMOUTH The Digital Music Studio # UNIVERSITY ----------------------------------------------------------------------- JANET: sdeutsch@uk.ac.bournemouth Talbot Campus World: sdeutsch@bournemouth.ac.uk Fern Barrow, Poole Voice: +44 (202) 595102 Fax: 595530 Dorset, BH12 5BB, UK ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 5 May 1994 14:57:24 -0400 From: Pat Smetanick NMD x6551 Subject: Re: Galaxy I've just joined the list and I have been hearing about Galaxy+. This is a new one for me, I have been using MidiQuest to edit my patches. could someone tell me about or tell me where I can find information on this program. It is one of the most wonderful programs you can get. I use mine to edit DX7, TX7, and the D10 & D110 devices and there are many other synths that you can interact with. There is even a generic function witch you can create a synth that is not already prgramed. It is made by Opcode systems, which recently released Vision for Windows, so Galaxy might not be too far off. (as long as MAX stays with us Mac people, i'll be happy :) -- Arne F. Chris is behind the drums and a tape deck not plugged in, no sound. Everybody's waiting to play. He hits it again. Nothing. I yell at him. He hits it again. Nothing. Does Galaxy do so? If not, can someone recommend a librarian (Windoze, pref.) which will? thanks, Harry Haecker (haeckerh@nwrc.gov) (bthaec@lsuvm.bitnet) ------------------------------ End of the EMUSIC-L Digest ******************************
