If so, you can get the drivers on klingon.epas.utoronto.ca in dir /pub/pc/ultrasound/gravis/disk I believe. Should be called GUS0041.zip or something like that (greater numbers are newer versions). Oops, not there; so try ORST (archive.orst.edu) in the dir /pub/packages/gravis/gravis/disk or /pub/packages/gravis/submit. If you don't have a GUS then you need to state what you do have for a sound card or midi card. You need more than a software driver, in general, to hook up a kbd to a PC. IE you need a card with a midi port on it. -- _______ KB7PWD shawn.rutledge@asu.edu (_ | |_) html: http://enuxsa.eas.asu.edu/~rutledge/home.html __) | | \__________________________________________________________________ * alternative energy * techno * ARS * eschew obfuscation * packet * C++ * ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 2 Aug 1994 16:48:00 PST From: Barry Klein 714-932-7493 Subject: Re: KORG 05 R/W Advance Gravis driver I had an Ultrasound card for a while and it seemed to run my 05rw ok under the Windows-based sequencer that came with the card. You do have to build the midi adapter though! Now, if you are trying to control the 05r/w through the proprietary serial interface that's another matter - good luck! ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 3 Aug 1994 10:16:26 -0400 From: "Prof. Alvin Toro CREMC Ponce" Subject: Re: KORG 05 R/W Advance Gravis driver Thanx to all of you for the tips, but you got it all wrong. The Advanced Gravis is a cable that connects the 05R/W to the serial port of an IBM or compatible with out the need of a MIDI interface. The cable comes together with a drivers disk for Microsoft Windows. The problem is that this package (Model# AG-001) Is still not available in the US or here in Puerto Rico. I made the cable myself and have been using it with DOS Applications without any problems. The trouble comes with my Windows Applications. With out this driver I won't be able to use the mod ule in Windows (most of my sound applications are for windows). If you have any idea, phone number, person, email address, etc. that could help, please post it here or mail me. altoro@inter.ui.clu.edu ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 3 Aug 1994 14:49:38 -0700 From: "Shawn T. Very interesting - hadn't even heard of that one. Well, gravis's tech support is tech@gravis.com, or try tech1 or tech2 if that doesn't work. Maybe they can help. -- _______ KB7PWD shawn.rutledge@asu.edu (_ | |_) html: http://enuxsa.eas.asu.edu/~rutledge/home.html __) | | \__________________________________________________________________ * eschew obfuscation * fusion * SunSparc * Gravis Ultrasound * C++ * PIC * ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 8 Aug 1994 12:57:03 EDT From: "Lee E. They said they did have one for the x3, but it would not work with the 05. They suggested MOTU and Opcode products, but as of today, I don't thing they support it yet either. Oh well. . .
