Does anybody know if this is true, how much it would cost, or where I could order a copy? Yes you can visually edit and draw with the mouse. You can also add digital effects (delays, reverbs, distortions, etc) and cut and paste between files. The new version also allows 3-d wave viewing and analysis. It is fairly inexpensive (less than $150, I beleive, for the real bells-and whistles version), plus they give great deals on the upgrades. Tech support id phenomenal. You can get them at 1-800-645-5640. Does anyone know where I can get a decent shareware, or even a demo, MOD player/editor on the Net or off? I am at an impass and ANY leads would be greatly appreciated. Johnson" Subject: Sample clicks I have been sampling sounds from keyboards, CD, tapes, and other line in sources for use in MOD files. I have come across an annoying problem. I am using a SB16 with Goldwave and Cool, but no matter how hard I try I always get a nasty sounding click at the end of my samples. It is bad enough being a poor sample, but when you use it in a MOD editor it makes it sound like your sounds are beingclicked off. I really don't know what to do. I know that I have to use 8-bit, 11K samples for MODS, but most MODS I have heard do not have this problem. I would greatly appreciate any pointers or program locations that would help with this. ------------------------------ Date: Fri, 23 Sep 1994 14:21:31 +0100 From: Mike Clarke Subject: Re: MOD Players... > Does anyone know where I can get a decent shareware, or even a >demo, MOD player/editor on the Net or off? If your interested, I can UUENCODE Scream Tracker 3, and mail it to you,or even ProTracker for the Amiga if you want it. Both of these programs are Freeware and in the Public Domain. ----------------------------- =^) Mike Clarke (^= Musician,Psygnosis Ltd. I'm not sure where you can get this program, but the Scream Tracker 3 is a nice piece of FREEWARE! I'm not used to internet as of yet, but would be willing to somehow get you a copy either by transfer or some other means. Or have you tried using a diferent program to play back your .mods. Maybe you shouldn't strip off the end of the sample. Try using the amplitude envelope to decrease the sample's Release Time/Release Level. altoro@inter.ui.clu.edu ------------------------------ Date: Mon, 26 Sep 1994 09:43:37 -0400 From: "Prof. Alvin Toro" Subject: Re: MOD Players... Decent? Depends: doesn't work on all Macs, and doesn't have editing facilities, but email me if you'd like more details.
