It came on the air on January 8, 1995 and is aptly named. It is truely "Do It Yourself" radio. There are only three emplyees - all the rest of the people who run and operate the station are volunteers! I'm one of the many volunteers, having engineered one of the locally produced shows. And now, my long wait is over. The Thursday night 11 pm to 1 am slot needs to be filled and the Program Director asked me if I'd like to have it to do a space music program. Of course, I jumped on the opportunity! If you have Space, Emusic, Ambient, or other suitable music that you'd like to receive airplay exposure, please send your CD or DAT to: Bill Fox 169 E. Beil Ave. Nazareth, Pennsylvania 18064 USA Remember, my show, which will premier on Thursday, January 23, 1997, will predominantly feature space and ambient music. There may be some excursions into Progressive Rock if I get any submissions in that genre. But space music will be my guiding criteria as to what music gets air play. Anything that feels like New Age to me will not be played on this show. To give you an idea of what I want, here is a list of artists whose material I played in the past. Chuck Van Zyl Chuck Van Zyl & Peter Gulch Edgae Froese George Harrison George Martin Harold Budd Jean Michel Jarre Jon Serrie Kevin Braheny & Tim Story Klause Schulze Louis & Bebe Barron Michael Hoenig Michael Stearns Michael Whalen Paul Haslinger Pure Gamma Rich/Lustmord Roach/Kent/Newby Robert Rich Ron Boots Steve Roach Steve Verity Team Metlay Vangelis Vidna Obmana Wendy Carlos It would help if you could send along some biographical information about yourself (or group, if appropriate) and some creation and production notes about the material you send would be nice, too. I'm sorry, your contributions cannot be returned. Copyright protection is the responsibility of the composer(s). And please identify where you heard about this.
