Therefore I died. Luckyly enough, I have a second live (this one), therefore, this message is just to check if I am regularly subscribed again. The problem is I am subscribed since last friday and I only received one message from this list (and a few from synth-l). Are the lists just taking a rest, or am I loosing something? Sorry to bother you with such trivialities, but I just want to make sure everything is OK. BTW, I was enjoying the new discussions arising about the new generation of "analogish" synths (funny thing, since the Microwave was there for years, with all the bells and whistles analog (and more) can offer - except the knobs and sliders, but even that was there, as an add-on from Access). Unfortunately, when I was going to talk, someone killed me. -- Fernando Manuel Rodrigues Consultant for Electronic and Computer Music MIDI and Digital Audio DANIEL RUVINA, SUCR., LDA. I've just been trawling my Attachments folder and I've found a number of documents with the same or similar titles to the threads on the lists. Most of them are Adobe Acrobat documents with a missing header so they can't be opened. Others are plain text containing extra little headers, such as (sans ">"): >begin: vcard >fn: Fernando Manuel Rodrigues >n: Rodrigues;Fernando Manuel >org: DANIEL RUVINA, SUCR., LDA >email;internet: fmr@mail.telepac.pt >title: Consultant and Web Master >note: Visit Ruvina On-Line >x-mozilla-cpt: ;0 >x-mozilla-html: FALSE >version: 2.1 >end: vcard I'm not bagging Fernando because he might not be aware of it, and he's not the only one whose mailer seems to be generating this. The problem is that many of us have to pay for the bandwidth to download it. In a way, it's more insidious than the WINMAIL.DAT rubbish Nick was complaining about, because you can't see it... at first. Anyway, if you have this sort of trouble, a polite note to the sender might prompt that person to check his or her configuration or preferences. And if, after reading this, you suspect your mailer is a culprit, please do try to fix the problem. Thank you.
