------ I started to write a Dutch HOWTO about installing tools from D. J. Bernstein. (http://cr.yp.to) The tools that I mention are: checkpassword, daemontools, djbdns, dot-forward, ezmlm. fastforward, publicfile, qmail, qmailanalog, ucspi-tcp and some small other packages to get all of this working >From these packages the ezmlm and publicfile are not yet included in a very draft version. The rest of these packages are included in a very draft version of a howto (dutch). My goals are: - installing a DNS service (djbdns) - installing a SMTP service (qmail) - installing a POP3 service - installing a IMAP service and with the use of ezmlm and publicfile - installing a mailinglist manager - installing a FTP/HTTP service For more information about these packages see: http://cr.yp.to what is what? checkpassword: a simple password-checking interface daemontools: a collection of tools for managing UNIX services djbdns: Domain Name System tools dot-forward: a .forward clone for qmail ezmlm: an easy-to-use, high-speed mailing list manager fastforward: table-based qmail forwarding utilities publicfile: a secure, read-only, anonymous HTTP/FTP server qmail: a replacement for sendmail qmailanalog: tools to analyze qmail's activity record ucspi-tcp: TCP client-server command-line tools The Dutch draft version is already big, approximately 30 pages, but it is a complete installation guide, so everybody with no DNS or SMTP service experience is (has to be) able to install these services. There are several errors in my Dutch guide but already somebody tested it and gave me feedback. If the Dutch version is completed I will translate it to English so it became available for "you", and the English speaking community. The reason I started to write the HOWTO is because DJB did write a man-file and all functions are included but only ones. So for a newbie it is almost impossible to install all the tools. The draft version is an ASCII version, but I'm reading a book about using SGML in Emacs. And the LDP-Author-Guide so, I think the next version will be or Linuxdoc (like http://nl.linux.org is using) or XML.
