MPI_Request_get_status - Non-destructively gets status for
       a request

SYNOPSIS

       C:

            #include <mpi.h>

            int MPI_Request_get_status(request, flag, status);
            MPI_Request         request;
            int                     flag;
            MPI_Status          *status;

       C++:  (Not currently implemented)

            #include <mpi.h>

            bool MPI::Request::Get_status(MPI::Status& status) const
            bool MPI::Request::Get_status() const

       Fortran:

            INCLUDE "mpif.h" (or USE MPI)

            MPI_REQUEST_GET_STATUS(request, flag, status, ierr)
            INTEGER request, status(MPI_STATUS_SIZE), ierr
            LOGICAL flag

STANDARDS

       This release implements the MPI 2.0 standard, as
       documented by the MPI Forum in the July 1997 release of
       MPI: A Message Passing Interface Standard.

DESCRIPTION

       MPI_Request_get_status performs the same function as
       MPI_Test, but will never free the request.

       request Specifies the request being interrogated.
                 (handle)

       flag Returns true if the operation is complete.
                 (logical)

       status Returns the status if the request is complete.
                 (Status)

NOTES

       All MPI routines in Fortran (except for MPI_Wtime(3) and
       MPI_Wtick(3)) have an additional ierr argument at the end
       of the argument list. ierr is an integer and has the same

       Fortran, MPI routines are subroutines and are invoked with
       the CALL statement. Additionally, in Fortran, all MPI
       objects (for example, MPI_Datatype and MPI_Comm) are of
       type integer.
