MPI_Comm_dup - Duplicates an existing communicator with
       its cached information

SYNOPSIS

       C:

            #include <mpi.h>

            int MPI_Comm_dup ( comm, comm_out )
            MPI_Comm comm, *comm_out;

       C++:

            #include <mpi.h>

            Intracomm Intracomm::Dup() const
            Cartcomm Cartcomm::Dup() const
            Graphcomm Graphcomm::Dup() const
            Intercomm Intercomm::Dup() const
            Comm& Comm::Clone() const = 0
            Intracomm& Intracomm::Clone() const
            Cartcomm& Cartcomm::Clone() const
            Graphcomm& Graphcomm::Clone() const
            Intercomm& Intercomm::Clone() const

       Fortran:

            INCLUDE "mpif.h" (or USE MPI)

            INTEGER comm, newcomm, ierror

            CALL MPI_COMM_DUP(comm, newcomm, ierror)

STANDARDS

       This release implements the MPI 1.2 standard, as
       documented by the MPI Forum in the spring 1997 release of
       MPI: A Message Passing Interface Standard.

DESCRIPTION

       The MPI_Comm_dup routine duplicates an existing
       communicator with its cached information. This routine
       accepts the following parameters:

       comm      Specifies the communicator (handle)

       comm_out Returns a copy of comm (handle)

       ierror Specifies the return code value for successful
                 completion, which is in MPI_SUCCESS.
                 MPI_SUCCESS is defined in the mpif.h file.
