MPI_Finalize - Terminates the MPI execution environment

SYNOPSIS

       C:

            #include <mpi.h>

            int MPI_Finalize()

       C++:

            #include <mpi.h>

            void Finalize()

       Fortran:

            INCLUDE "mpif.h" (or USE MPI)

            INTEGER ierror

            CALL MPI_FINALIZE(ierror)

STANDARDS

       This release implements the MPI 1.2 standard, as
       documented by the MPI Forum in the spring 1997 release of
       MPI: A Message Passing Interface Standard.

DESCRIPTION

       The MPI_Finalize routine terminates the MPI execution
       environment. All processes must call this routine before
       exiting. The number of processes running after this
       routine is called is undefined.

       ierror Specifies the return code value for successful
                   completion, which is in MPI_SUCCESS.
                   MPI_SUCCESS is defined in the mpif.h file.

NOTES

       MPI Processes which have been started using either
       MPI_Comm_spawn or MPI_Comm_spawn_multiple will not return
       from the MPI_Finalize call until the parent MPI processes
       have also invoked MPI_Finalize.
