Education

Graduate

My graduate education focused on learning to do research, apply theory, develop models and report results. My experience at UNC-Chapel Hill centered on finding the areas of research that interested me at the time, with the opportunity to expand and add to this. Consistently, I focused on regulation and new media.

Undergraduate

I took roughly 60 courses as an undergraduate. Besides exposing me to organic chemistry, genetics and the mystifying worlds of calculus and the Russian novel, it also gave me a wonderful opportunity to note the teaching methods of some great professors. Some of those techniques I use in my teaching today.

While I don't recommend quite this diversity of courses, I do believe a balanced liberal arts education is still the best preparation for a professional career.
