My Family

My Parents

Two people married for more than 50 years get around to knowing all of their quirks and oddities. They always seemed pretty comfortable with little things that often drove me nuts (I think that's nature's way of making sure you don't stay at home too long). They were wonderful people, and I miss them a lot. Family Photo Album

My Sister (and Brothers)

Yes, I have two bothers (er, brothers), but it was (and is) my sister who taught me about friendship and the risks of caring. She married a man who has been more of a brother than others (who should have been) could ever be. She taught at NYU, he at UGA (that was an interesting commute), and they raised a wonderful daughter who's attending UNC now. When I had no family, they were home. When I was happy, they made it more so. And when I thought I had few options, they showed me I could have everything I wanted . . . if I was willing to work for it.

Pretty amazing people.

Yes, there are some pictures of them here.

And Now . . .

One of the things my sister taught me is to never give up on happiness. So I haven't.
