as todd might say, well, we've been -there- before.
and so what, if we have?
i dunno, punk, like -the scene- (jeez, sounds like a rilly bad letter to max rnr),
is a construct.
the punks bangs dubbed were all junkies.
the sex pistols publicly drubbed drugs and championed alcohol, while
consuming both behind doors, as if the sex pistols were nothing else,
they were product.
somewhere along a line or infinite bandwidth, someone finds krishna, sets it
to an oi beat, and comes up with str8edge.
some call that punk.
there's a buncha generic skate metal these days that gets called punk.
beyond that, former readers of bangs finally finish their doctoral theses,
go on to teach courses on subculture. they perform post mortems on yet
another corpse, hook it up to big generators, say 'lookey, it only appears
to be dead.'
long live frankenstein.
