Ah, now I understand, and I agree completely. There is a lack of
inexpensive decent food available. I mean, yeah, how many times a
week can you eat at Taco Hell? I've been out of school for 7 years,
but I remember those days when my friends and I were trying to figure
out where to go in Wilmington for cheap food when we only had a few
dollars a piece. Fast food city down there.

Let's see, under $8 you can probably eat at Dips, Time Out (now there's
a late night place!), hmmm, Mariacaca's (sp?), but that's not close to
campus, ummm, well, the fast food places. Yep, this town could really
use a 24-hour honest to god diner, as Kevin mentioned.

If Hector's does reopen, and it's like it was before, man, look out,
greasy burgers at their best. There's many a UNC alumni drooling over
the opportunity for a chili-cheeseburger.

Yeah, I think the food at Elmo's is OK, but I definitely do not think
of it as a diner. It's not even close. I've never had a problem with
the wait staff, but it wouldn't surprise me.

Hey your Durham-ites, what's up with the Pan Pan diner? I've heard
it mentioned on this list before, and as my friend and I were driving
by it the other night, we were talking about how we should try it
sometime. So is it a real diner? How's the food?
