New new years mandate

I should have read more posts before panicking. Still, shouldn't we be
getting upset EVERY TIME this sort of thing happens? It's not hard to
give Cliff's, Al's Garage, Walt's Diner, the Chelsea theatre, etc. some
patronage. I see all of these RTP people moving here so that they can
commute to work. I consider myself an imposter having lived here for only
two years full time. I liked the videodrome and UFO. What's gonna be
next? Pipes By George is going to be a Spencer gifts, Henry's is going to
be Fuddrucker's (or Hooter's), and Crook's is going to be a Western
Sizzlin'. If people got more upset about the little things, then they
wouldn't become big things. We'll see if Al's is going to be around for
long now that it is flanked by a Jiffy Lube and a Meineke. And then
people will say, "Boy that's a real shame." What's happening to this and
many other towns is a disease, and everyone should let the powers that be
know that we don't like it festering here. That is, unless you don't
care, in which casechange may be good. Just remember that when
Blockbuster opens, VisArt, the Wizard of Vid, and the Video Bar will all
lose business.

"I predict that in ten years, computers will be twice as fast, ten
thousand times larger, and so expensive that only the five richest kings
in Europe wil be able to own them."
