& Western, Doo-Wop, Hillbilly or similar types of music, you might want to
check out our site at http://www.hepcat.com/records. If you're having a
hard time finding your favorite artists, try our web site or send us email
at hepcatreco@aol.com
Here's our latest bulletin regarding our web site for a little more info...
We've updated our site <http://www.hepcat.com/records> for the last time in
1996. If you still haven't finished your Christmas shopping you might
want to check out some of the new items we have online!
First of all, let everyone know where your musical tastes lie with our new
Hepcat Records T-Shirts. They come in your choice of White on Black or
Black on White and feature the Hepcat Records logo that you see atop most
of our webpages.
Swing fans may want to check out a couple of fine compilations we've added.
If you had a chance to see the cult film "Swingers", you might want to
pick up the soundtrack featuring Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, Count Basie, Louis
Jordan, and others. We've also added "Swing Alive", a celebration of 60
years of swing live from the Hollywood Paladium. You may have seen this
one on PBS. This recording features the legends like Les Brown & The Band
of the Renown and Tex Beneke as well as the newer swing acts like the Brian
Setzer Orchestra and Royal Crown Revue.
Speaking of Royal Crown Revue, we've gotten our hands on the previously
hard-to-find debut by these L.A. hipsters entitled "Kings of Gangster Bop".
Hear the tunes that lead to the Warner Bros. record deal!
If Rockabilly is more your style, note the re-release of some of the
Restless catalog on Madhouse records. We've added "Beat My Drum", "After
Midnight", "Movin' On", and "Kickin' Into Midnight". Also check out some
great debuts from The Duvalls ("Introducing...") and Jump Cat Jump ("Hot
Rockin").
We've also added too many new R&B, Doo-Wop, Surf, Country and Psychobilly
albums and compilations to even mention. Just visit our site for the full
details.
Finally, the webmaster's pick of the litter is the tremendous debut release
from the Austin, Texas based Asylum Street Spankers. Gabby says that their
debut "Spanks For the Memories" is "too original to be categorized. This
ten piece band mixes it up with Country Blues, Swing, Vaudeville, Jazz and
all acoustic!" The band is a super-group formed from other Austin bands
and is made up of, among others, Kevin Smith (High Noon), Guy Forsyth (The
Guy Forsyth Band), Olivier Giraurd (8 1/2 Souvenirs), and Christina Marrs
(The Jubilettes).
Still haven't found something for that last Christmas gift? Why not give a
Hepcat Records gift certificate. Then you don't have to make those tough
decisions. I don't have to tell you what great stocking stuffers these
gift certificates make!
We ship same day via the US Postal Service so get your orders in pronto to
guarantee delivery by next Wednesday!
Happy Holidays everyone from Hepcat Records.
