I came up 15 cents short at Best Buy once and the cashier let me pass. The
price was around $75.15 and I only had $75.00, so, I don't know. Kindness is
not limited to mom&pop's, but I admit it's more frequent there. I used to
rigorously avoid buying music at retail chains. Now, I just buy music where I
find it. I am convinced that retail merchandising is inheriently bad, so it
doesn't really matter if you buy it at Joe's Jiffy Joint, Best Buy or a
bootlegged 8-Track at StopNShop. I do avoid Blockbuster because of their very
questionable employee policies.
