Firstly, you're right there but I think your percentages are off. It's probably
about a 95% chance of suckitude. For about a month I collected self-released CD's
given away free over the 'net to all takers. It was damn hard to figger out which
one took the prize as the worst. Now they are coasters or ornaments on my
x-mas tree.

As far as my band(s) sucking, dunno 'bout that. Hard to be objective when one's
involved in a musical situation. Today I listened to a tape of a band I was in
London back in '83 and damn if we didn't really, really suck a big hairy wazoo.

I asked Greg about the Shinola, but he gave me no answer as he had to put the
kids to bed. More later.

Thanks for your comments and suggestions regarding hand delivering CD's to
college radio stations. The fledgling little label we wax our sides for had me do it
in coordination with a gig. I shoulda known better.

I didn't mean to imply anything negative about Six String Drag. I saw 'em once,
and even though they were plagued by lots of technical problems, they rocked
convincingly. However, after growing up as the only "punk rocker" in my high
school in the late '70's, I learned to hate any kind of hybrid, however well
meaning and hip, of country and rock. It may take a while for me to exorcise this
prejudice. Probably my loss.

I don't think I rendered any judgement whatsoever. I'll listen to it. Email me and
I'll send you my address and you can mail it to me. I love getting records in the
post. I'll send you a tape of my new Dezi Arnez CD if you want. I was just trying
to point out that Greg & Karen are the people in their position, like it or not.
Whatever they want to review is down to them and their editors. The Rebar
record might well be great. I don't know that fussing about the fact that Karen &
Greg review basically only what they dig is gonna help. I dunno, maybe it will.

I was actually paraphrasing Karen mann. Since I've only briefly met her, I have
no idea the context of said hearsay. It just struck me as ironic, to say the least.

No I just can't deal with the fact that music morons like fucking. Or vice versa. I
think you took off on something that I wasn't even implying.

Be coolish and remember:
Sammy Davis Jr. died for you, babe!
