Tuesday's Spatula show was one of those shows that made me repeat to
myself with a silly smile on my face, "damn, I love living in this town."
The last time I saw them, at the Coffeehouse, I recall mainly as a good,
solid Spatula show. That June thing was a long time ago, and I don't
remember much except that it was crowded and that it was the first time I
saw Chris play with them.

That is the only song that stuck with me as well. I thought they were
generically pleasant indie-rock. Or was that pleasantly generic
indie-rock.

I thought Cat Power were great. Chan Marshall is haunting and Powerful. Or
is that powerfully haunting. Anyway, I had to leave early, (my new temp
gig starts at a beastly hour),so I don't know about the end.

I'm bitter about missing that show. I have a Thompson jinx going on that
is perhaps another post.
