Media Democracy Week
April 12th to 16th at NCSU Campus
Media Democracy Week events will be held around the NC State campus to kick off the formation of the Independent Media Center at NCSU and the Raleigh Independent Media Center . Indymedia is a collective of independent media organizations and hundreds of journalists offering grassroots, non-corporate coverage. This week we bring you a variety of events - panel discussions, academy-award winning documentary film directors, independent film and music fests, and interactive games that teach the history of American media and the make-up of our current corporate media structures.
Take the time to attend many or ALL of the events.
If you have a passion for truth, distaste for corporate propaganda, or a general interest in creating something better – we'll see you there!

Website Launch
This website is here to provide local readers with up to date news on current events in the triangle area. Eventually we hope to have streaming video, photos, and news articles so you can see, hear, and read about what is happening in your area. We also intend to compile half hour videos to recap all the major events of the past month and to distribute them through this site.
Raleigh IndyMedia
The Raleigh Independent Media Center was founded by NC State students in order to provide an alternative to homogenous corporate media sources. Our goal is to promote a truly unbiased view of local events by the use of journalism, photography and video distributed through our website, the NC State broadcast channel, and the Raleigh Broadcast channel.
It is important to have independent news sources that provide a different view, and we want to help the Raleigh and NC State University communities by bringing them the news that others choose to ignore.
