Center for Science in the Public Interest (1875 Connecticut Ave, NW, Ste. 300, Washington, DC 20009-5728; 202/332-9110): Their Americans for Safe Food project distributes a list of mail-order businesses in the U.S. which sell organic food.

Community Alliance With Family Farmers (P.O. Box 464, Davis, CA 95617; 916/756-8518): Publishes a Consumer's Organic Mail-Order Directory, which contains information on farmers across the U.S. who ship small quantities of organic food (mostly produce) to consumers. Listings are organized alphabetically and by product.

Coop America (2100 M St., NW, Ste. 403, Washington, DC 20037; 800/424-2667): Publishes National Green Pages, which contains information on businesses selling organic food products.
