USS Natoma (SP-666), 1917-1919.
Originally the Civilian Motor Boat Natoma

USS Natoma, a 120-foot patrol craft, was built prior to World War I by Charles Seabury & Sons at Morris Heights, New York, as a pleasure craft with the same name. In July 1917, when she was owned by Richard Howe of New York City, Natoma was taken over by the Navy. Placed in commission in August 1917, during the rest of the First World War she performed patrol work in the Third Naval District, which included the region around New York City. Natoma was decommissioned following the end of the conflict and, in April 1919, transferred to the U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey.

This page features the only views we have concerning USS Natoma (SP-666) and the civilian motor yacht Natoma.
