Fred Bennett and John Capinera, eds. Presents broad 
overview of IPM, focusing on history and practice of IPM 
in Florida. Describes range of strategies used by state 
to advance IPM, including regulatory programs aimed at 
preventing pest problems; research into pest-resistant 
crops; use of pheromones to disrupt insect mating; 
habitat management; and beneficial insects. Provides 
case studies of IPM projects with citrus, tomatoes, 
several other crops and structural pests, and describes

*The Alternative Pest Management Conference, March 1, 
1997.* University of Colorado, Boulder. Conference and

workshops on pesticide regulation, pesticide hazards, 
organic gardening, structural IPM, pest identification
