Re: Action Alert
That has nothing to do with CCOF. It is a county regulation in our
county. The county was just hoping to punish and squeeze some money out of
the only people who offer unpoisoned food.
It is totally unreasonable and unfair to insist that if you grow good,
safe food, you have to be penalized for it by paying a fee just to
register--announce to the world--that you are raising your food safely,
and then give a percentage of your takings to the county.
Those who raise and offer poisoned food, so poor in quality that the only
way to keep those food crops extant is to poison its entire
environment--soil and leaf surface-- do not have to pay a fee, nor
register, nor pay the county a percent of their take.
It is clearly just a punishing routine, to punish organic growers for
being better growers and offering a safe product, which shows up the
chemical-using growers as offering inadequate, unsafe foods.
Every other person has cancer in this wonderful country. And food has
nothing to do with it????????????
