I dislike people who smoke. It does not matter what the gender
is; thus I agree with you, but also, what would happen if she, the
smoking girlfriend, was pregnant? The baby is by far the most innocent
victim.
Who would want to kiss, talk to, or stand next to someone who is
smoking, especially if that someone was your loved one. I for one would
just walk a far distant away from the smoker because I simply can't stand
the smell and I don't want my lungs to die on me so soon.
You were right about suggesting her boyfriend to move on to
another woman. I certainly would leave my mate if he wouldn't stop
smoking. It's just not worth it.
To me, being able to quit smoking, especailly after years of
cigarett abuse, shows the strenght and goodwill of an individual. I
understand that quitting something, especially things you like to do
is very difficult. But if the girlfriend respected yourself and others,
she would have listened to her boyfriend and quit smoking altogether.
I'm proud to say that my dad, after over 20 years of smoking, had quit
about 9 years ago. After constant hearing complaints from my mother,
siblings and I, he decided to quit forever, and I have never seen him
with a single cigarett since. As long as the girlfriend wants to quit, I
believe she can.
