Subject: Re: video proposal

The Presidio Institute for Sustainable Development, Division of
Sustainable Agriculture, would like to be included on the periphery of
your study. We are just beginning our Institute and are acquiring as many
contacts and as much information as possible.

We are part of a team that is developing the groundwork for a Division
of Sustainable Agriculture as a part of a proposed Presdio Institute for
Sustainable Development.(The Presidio is a former U. S. Army base at the
foot of the Golden Gate Bridge that has been turned over to the Nat'l Parks
Dept and has a deep historical significance to the Pacific Rim region,
reaching all the way back to 1776 when the Spanish completed their first
buildings.) Our division will be the second arm of the Institute. The
first is already functioning as Sustainable Energy Resources for Third
World Countries under the direction of Mark Levine, program head, Energy
and Environment Division, Energy Analysis Program, here at LBNL.
Our focus is to address as many different types of
telecommunications and simulations as possible so that the Institute can be
interdisciplinary in focus and multi-media in service. We see the
young leaders of emerging countries and agricultural systems conferencing
on site and returning home, still connected by various networks. Once
they are back home, they will need to know how to get the most up to date
info for continuing their sust. ag courses of action.
It is unclear at this time exactly how we can interface with you,
but I would like to be included in your plans, if at all possible. As of
Noon PDT our new address will be:
		predidio@dante.lbl.gov
Let us know how we can help.
