So kiss me and smile for me
June 26, 2003 09:58 AMAll my bags are packed, I’m ready to go
I’m standin’ here outside your door
I hate to wake you up to say goodbye.
This will be my final post here at Nothing New. This blog’s been kicking for about a year now, but it’s time to move on.
I got my account with ibiblio more than three years ago, back when it was Metalab. I was a student at the University of North Carolina at the time and a budding web geek. The fine folks at Metalab eventually offered me a job and I learned more just being there than in any class. It was, and still is, a fine place full of fine people.
I’ve outgrown my metalab account, though. I’ve got a new blog set up, Quiet Confusion, and it’s got a full archive of all the posts I’ve made here. The new site is still in need of a little clean up, but it’s there and ready for your perusal. I’ll keep my old e-mail, jimray@ibiblio.org, around for a while, until I can get everything migrated, but I hope to make a clean break by the end of the summer.
With that said, I’d like to give many, many thanks to the inimitable Paul Jones, a god among geeks if ever there was one, as well as the ibiblio staff. They’ve provided an incredible service the past 10 years, pioneering as a digital library, not to mention a place were geeks can play and work and feel comfortable doing their thing.
So, check out the new digs, update yer bookmarks, and drop me a line. Here’s to the future!
