Jester Jester was formed in 1976 in Livonia, Michigan (a west-side suburb of Detroit). The group played a number of shows in the Detroit area during the 1976-79 period, offering a selection of music by progressive-rock bands like Yes, Genesis, ELP, and Kansas, as well as original material. The two tracks below were recorded as part of a cassette demo the group circulated in order to get gigs. There are two more original tunes that never got recorded in any presentable way (and a lot of other tunes at various stages of completion). From time to time Larry, Jeff, and John discuss the possibility of recording this material from the late 1970's, and maybe they'll get around to it sometime soon. |

These two tracks were recorded on a Teac 3340 4-track machine in Larry's basement in late 1978/early 1979.
