Notes from October 2004 GPSF Meeting

Our fearless leader (a.k.a. Jimmy Ivory) could not attend this month's GPSF meeting, so I attempted to fill his shoes as the alternate. Here are some highlights from the meeting:

Transit Forums
Want to voice a complaint about parking on campus? Does the bus pass you by every morning because it is already full? Now is your chance to speak out! The DPS will be sponsoring a transit forum on Wednesday, October 27th from 7:30-9:00. The meeting will be held in the Student Union in room 3205.

What? Another happy hour?
Yes, there is another happy hour that all of us can attend. Every Thursday, the GPSF sponsors office hours at 9:00 at a local bar. The location varies, but thus far the day and time has remained the same. There has been a question of mixing things up a bit, though, so check the following posting site for information on a weekly basis: https://instruct.unc.edu/wcb/schools/5/4228/bpage/GPS0011021/forums/for um1/wwwboard.html (If you're prompted to enter a user name, simply enter your Onyen and password.)

Get Involved - Join a Committee!
There are still 10 positions available to serve on various university committees. Visit the GPSF Web site for more information about these opportunities or to fill out an application. http://www.unc.edu/student/orgs/gpsf/

If you have any further questions about these events, feel free to contact me at sharwood@email.unc.edu.

Best wishes,
Sarah Harwood (GPSF Alternative Senator)
