Faraway, so close

[NCWN
Sign] Orange County, North Carolina is home to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, the nation's oldest state-supported university. Students come and spend years ensconced in the stacks of Davis Library (the largest in North Carolina), milling around Franklin Street (part of the Jefferson Davis Memorial Highway), or drinking at some of the local pubs (Chapel Hill has been rated in the past as having the highest beer consumption per capita in the United States). They do all of this without the knowledge of the richesses in the outlying county areas.

[White
Cross Facility]

The North Carolina Writer's Network is an organisation designed to assist anyone from the fledging writer to the more accomplished author. Events are held at the facility off of Highway 54 West (the White Cross Community Center, which serves as their main office and houses the Network's library of writer resources), around the Triangle, and across the state.

[NCWN wheel]

A wheel sits outside of the White Cross facility, making a pleasing contrast with the ivy and the brick.

That's all there is at the moment, but just to to tempt you, I have pictures of Calvander, Bethel, and other backroads of Orange County - coming up soon!
