Background: this is a modern composition by Edgar Meyer and Mark O'Connor, found on the album "Telluride Sessions" by the all-star bluegrass band "Strength In Numbers" released in 1988. The band, composed of five virtuoso bluegrass musicians Edgar Meyer, Mark O'Connor, Jerry Douglas, Bela Fleck, and Sam Bush only produced this one album after playing together in various combinations doing studio work and in live concerts at bluegrass festivals. Each of the ten tunes on this album were composed by a different pairing of two of the band members, One Winter's Night being Edgar and Mark's creation.
