CHECK OUT OUR FIRST MULTIMEDIA PROJECT: THE SOUTHERN CONE LAMI is made possible by funds from the U.S. Department of Education and the Consortium in Latin American and Caribbean Studies at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and Duke University in cooperation with Tenth Muse Inc. and Melloweb.com The Outreach
Office of the Consortium in Latin American and Caribbean Studies at
the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and Duke University
presents the Latin America Multimedia Initiative (LAMI). This ongoing
project aims to use multimedia web technology that incorporates video,
audio, text, and photographic resources for innovative educational programs.
These programs are designed for both university-level and K-12 audiences
throughout the state of North Carolina and the country as a whole. Their
goal is to bring language, history, and cultural diversity instruction
into the classroom via free interactive features on the internet. They
focus, of course, on the diverse languages, cultures, and histories
of Latin America. ![]() |
