The registration fee is $70 for all conference activities. Students wishing to attend only the panel sessions will be admitted to these free. The deadline for registration is September 16, 1996.
The Conference will be held in the International Affairs Building located at 420 West 118th Street (corner of West 118th Street and Amsterdam Ave.) A map of the campus area is enclosed (NB: the Law School entrances may not be open due to construction).

Matching Scholars with Shared Interests
The Conference would like to seat together scholars with shared interests--especially younger scholars with older scholars--at the lunches and dinner. Please use the space on the registration form to provide the information to facilitate this.

Hotel Information
Enclosed is information for hotels that have been contacted and that have available rooms. Two hotels have blocked off rooms for the conference.
We have been assured that each of the following hotels has a large number of rooms
available during our conference dates. However, we have also been informed that the New
York City Marathon may be scheduled for the same weekend as the conference. We
encourage you to make your reservations as soon as possible to avoid any problems.

Travel Grants for Young Scholars Attending the Conference
The Center for Political Leadership and Participation at the University of Maryland at College Park and the Presidency Research Group of the APSA is providing support for young scholars to attend the conference. Fourteen grants of up to $250 each are available to young scholars who wish to attend the conference. It is hoped that home institutions will provide additional support.
