Re: [nafex] tip bearing apple varieties?

Ed,

It seems there are two Maiden's Blush

1) Maiden Blush from NJ 1817 and it is not listed a tip-bearer
2) Maiden's Blush from UK 1935 and it is listed as a tip-bearer.

Similar story with Crimson Beauty

1) Crimson Beauty from England 1956 is listed as a tip-bearer
2) Crimson Beauty from Ontario is not listed as a tip-bearer

(1) CB England may be related to Beauty of Bath which Crawford lists as a
tip-bearer

I don't know any of them

: Re: my comments on the accuracy of Crawford's book. Maiden Blush is not a
tip bearer, nor is Crimson Beauty. Or, they bear as you've described,
: mostly on spurs.
