Re: [nafex] Pear Rootstock

Doreen:

Currently there are no truely dwarfing pear rootstocks which are
resistant to fireblight. Many nurseries call OH333, 513, etc. dwarf, but
they reduce tree size (of european types) by only 30% or so.
The only dwarfing pear stock is Quince and if fireblight resistant
varieties are worked onto them, fireblight generally is not a problem as
most Quince clones do not sucker much.
