Re: [compost_tea] MSDS

Now here's a can of worms that  I was afraid would be opened. I do not see how a brewer builder could supply a MSDS. In this case, YOU would be the one who would supply it to your customer, because YOU control what ingredients get put into your  brewer. The responsibility is yours.

Where/How does one aquire a MSDS?  Does a MSDS need to be aquired by the Brewer? Do Brewer Manufacturers have a MSDS or more likely, do folks selling material for use in brewing have a MSDS?  Is this a service SFI could provide Brewers, because the Brewer (as the last link in the chain) is with whom the ultimate responsibility lies for providing safe material.  Is there a MSDS out which umbrellas all compost tea (hardly likely, I know, but...)?

This particular account is concerned because they have recently been investigated and fined by OSHA in conjunction with the misuse of materials; so they are hyper sensitive to using anything without a MSDS.  The reasoning being that use of any material without an MSDS is illegal.
