The nutrients I used were molasses and
fish, per the SFI recipe from Joan. Judi -----Original Message----- Hey Judy that's better than what Kevina and I thought
of! Bob You may want to consider fish in this application.
Fish is an excellent deer repellent, and a potent microbial food. I put a fair amount of
molasses in the last brew for the fruit club and one member
asked me not to do that again. The deer ate the tree. Judi -----Original Message----- Hi Alex - The rate I mentioned is by
no means a recommendation, just the amount I've decided on after a lot of
testing and talking. If you're not trying to put the tea through a small
nozzle or drip system it makes sense to grow a bit more bacteria than you might
need. I don't know who could afford to add 5% sugar, (1.25gals of
molasses in a 25 gal brew). Is anyone actually doing this?? Dave
