The bacteria are counted, length and width measured, and biovolume calculated. Bacteria in general have about the same bulk density, and so convert to biomass.
Not weighed.
Dry weight basis, figure bacteria are about 80% water.

gallons water weigh 0.67 oz. Would they be dried or as is, basis?
