There was air in the compost tea the entire
time. Air is running until the last drop leaves
the tank. Paul Sachs also uses a BobOLator and has had superior
test results from SFI. I was adapting Paul’s methods from his Organics site where he lists his compost
tea data. Take a look at the hours of his various tests: http://www.norganics.com/Test7-17.pdf Judi -----Original Message----- Judi - I'm interested to hear that
you brew for 12 hours without aeration. I've heard this technique
somewhere before on compost_tea. Why don't you aerate the whole 18
hours? I tried waiting myself but the 5 gallon brew went anaerobic in
less than 6 hours, though the garage was a warm 85*F. I had added
vermicompost, molasses and fish hydrolysate. Is your tea mixture not
going anaerobic or do you see a benefit from the technique? Dave
