Just a thought to throw in to you. Bacteria change their function in diffe=
rent situations depending on their environment. Thereby "good" microbes ca=
n also do "bad" things. But as a soil microbial ecologist I do not think i=
n terms of good and bad microbes. I don't find this too useful.

But of course that is not so say that if may help others conceptualise soil=
microbial communities. But please be aware that functions do change.

If I understand it correctly, and I am probably way off, the good microbes =
in compost tea lessen the longer it sits. But there are a number of compani=
es that sell compost tea extracts. So how does one take homemade compost te=
a and make it dormant or give it a shelf life?

The benefit of this would be to make one large batch and then aerate it whe=
n needed/wanted.
